Discipling

A contagious pursuit.

Come and Multiply.

My pursuit of Jesus is no longer only about what He is doing in me.
It’s about what He wants to do through me.

Jesus didn’t simply say “Follow Me.”
He also said:
“Go and make disciples…” – Matthew 28:19

Mature disciples become
disciple-makers.

We intentionally love people, share our faith courageously, invest in others relationally, and help people become disciples who make disciples.

This is where the pursuit becomes contagious.

Discipleship has a pursuit

Invite, Invest, Inspire

Jesus pursued people intentionally. He invited them into relationship. He invested His life in them. And He inspired them to participate in God’s mission. We do the same.

Friendships With Purpose

Invite

Discipleship begins with an invitation. Jesus said:

“Come, follow me.” – Matthew 4:19

We invite people into relationship, conversation, community, and spiritual growth.

  • We create space for the curious.
  • We notice the lonely.
  • We move toward people rather than waiting for them to come to us.
  • We share our faith.
  • We invite someone to coffee.
  • We pull up another chair.

Invitation opens the door.

Spiritual Formation Through Intentional Discipleship

Invest

Invitation creates connection. Investment produces formation.

Jesus gave His disciples His time, truth, attention, correction, encouragement, and example. He didn’t simply preach to them — He shared His life with them.

We do the same. We walk with people through questions. We open Scripture together. We pray together.

  • We encourage.
  • We challenge.
  • We model.
  • We listen.

We help someone take their next faithful step toward Jesus.

Discipleship isn’t a transaction.
It’s an investment of one life into another.

Become Who God Created You to Be

Inspire

Jesus didn’t simply call people away from something. He called them into something greater. He told ordinary fishermen:

“I will make you fishers of men.”

Jesus saw more in them than they could see in themselves. We inspire people to discover:

  • Who God created them to be.
  • What God has given them to do.
  • Where God is sending them to go.

We call people beyond passive belief into courageous obedience. Beyond consuming into contributing. Beyond attending into sending. Beyond being discipled into discipling others.

The destination of discipleship isn’t simply maturity.

It’s multiplication.

That’s when discipleship becomes a movement.

The contagious pursuit continually asks

Three questions

  • Who am I inviting? Who around me needs friendship, belonging, hope, or an invitation toward Jesus?
  • Who am I investing in? Who am I intentionally helping become more like Jesus?
  • Who am I inspiring? Who am I encouraging and releasing to live courageously on mission and disciple someone else?

You don’t need a stage. You don’t need a title. You don’t need a theology degree.
You need Jesus, the Holy Spirit, an open life, and someone willing to walk with you.

Ordinary disciples can make extraordinary impact.

This is the pursuit

Discover Jesus.
Follow Jesus.
Practice the way of Jesus.
Multiply the life of Jesus.

The pursuit begins vertically. Pursue God.
Then it moves horizontally. Pursue others.
Invite them. Invest in them. Inspire them. And help them do the same.

This is Vertical Pursuit.
